The Victorian weatherboard building has long verandas with five bedrooms on either side, a farm kitchen with an original wood stove, and a large communal area with a big open fire, comfy couches and two large tables that seat twenty.
Function/Conference facilities
The Shearers' Quarters can be used in conjunction with Allanvale Homestead for stunning weddings and special dinners. Catered dinners can be held at Allanvale Homestead or the Shearers' Quarters.
Recreation
Aside from visiting the Grampians and local wineries, Shearers' Quarters guests can use the Homestead's inground swimming pool and tennis court by arrangement. There is also ample space for outdoor ball games and many guests like to tour the picturesque surroundings on their bikes.

Room descriptions
Two double bedrooms and eight twin share bedrooms all open on to the verandas. All beds have electric blankets, but no other heating exists in the bedrooms. Beds have pillows and bottom sheets. Guests need to bring their own top sheet, doona/slepping bag and towels.
Cooking facilities
Aside from the traditional wood stove, a microwave, a small electric stove and a modern hooded barbecue live at the Shearers' Quarters. There is also a large fridge, a four-slot toaster, an urn and a large pantry in the kitchen.
Bathroom facilities
A separate shower block has four showers and two hand basins and a separate loo block has three loos.
Dining
Guests typically come prepared with meal provisions. Pub meals are available in Great Western and restaurants are found in the larger towns (Ararat, Stawell and Halls Gap) including the acclaimed The Vines resturaunt in Ararat.
